The National Tobacco Administration opened the agency-wide celebration of the National Women’s Month with a flag-raising ceremony attended by Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr., other members of the Top Management, senior officers and staff in purple shirts on March 1 at the NTA Central Office in Quezon City.

Fortuna C. Benosa, Manager of Corporate Planning Department and Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person, gave the reason behind the celebration and this year’s theme “Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya!” and announced the line-up of the month-long activities.

Among the activities to be conducted in the Central and Branch Offices are video showing of GAD-related clips, wearing of purple shirts every Monday to signify support for women’s empowerment and gender equality, weekly talks on the rights of women and other relevant topics, and photography contest for the NTA employees.
