A photo of women farmers harvesting Burley entered in the NTA 2021 Women’s Month Photo Contest by Anne Margarette P. De Fiesta, KPP Surveyor of NTA Pangasinan, won First Prize. The photo was taken at a Burley farm in Barangay Capulaan in Balungao, Pangasinan on March this year.
The contest is in line with the celebration of the National Women’s Month, the National Tobacco Administration, through the Gender and Development (GAD) Executive Committee. The winning captures the essential representation of this year’s theme “JUANA, LABAN SA PANDEMYA: KAYA!”
Deputy Administrator for Support Services Benedicto M. Savella was the chairperson of the photo contest, with the Department Managers as members.

Winning entries depict the important role played by Filipino women involved in the tobacco industry in leadership, power and decision making to survive the pandemic for herself, for her family and the community in general.
