The Quality Assurance Division (QAD) of the NTA Industrial Research Department (NTA-IRD) conducted the second batch of its Orientation Seminar for New Entrants on the NTA Harmonized Grading System for Locally Grown Burley Tobacco held at the NTA Farmers’ Training Center in Cagayan Branch on September 7-8.

Participants were new Tobacco Production and Regulation Officers (TPROs), Agriculturists, and Researchers from NTA Cagayan and Isabela Branches.

The two-day orientation seminar aims to impart to the participants the principles and functions of Harmonized Leaf Grading System of Burley tobacco and have a common understanding among the NTA Extension Workers and Researchers and enhance the capabilities of the participants on the proper application of the Harmonized Leaf Grading System.
