NTA Administrator/CEO Robert Victor G. Seares Jr administered the oath of office of the two newly promoted Department Managers Perla C. Manzon and Myrna O. Lozano during the Monday flag ceremony at the NTA Central Office on May 16.Both Manzon and Lozano served as Officers-in-Charge (OIC) of their respective departments.
Manzon has been the OIC of the Administrative Department, in a concurrent capacity as the Human Resource Management Officer (HRMO) V of the same department, after the optional retirement of Dr. Cristina C. Lopez on February 25, 2020. She heads the Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) which screened the promotions and appointments of 94 staff in various plantilla positions in 2021.
Lozano was designated as OIC of the Industrial Research Department (IRD) on April 22, 2021, in a concurrent capacity as Chief Science Research Specialist of the Techno Laboratory Services and Instrumentation Division of IRD. She replaced former Department OIC Lina Cera, who died of illness in 2021.
